Physiotherapy Treatment
What Is Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy, also known as physical therapy, is a branch of medicine that helps people restore movement and function when they are affected by injury, illness, or disability. Physiotherapists are trained professionals who use their knowledge of the body to help manage pain, improve mobility, and prevent further injury. They are like movement experts who help your body work better so you can enjoy your everyday activities without pain or difficulty.

When To See A Physiotherapist
In Singapore, various conditions often require the expertise of a physiotherapist. Here are some of the most common:
1. Stroke Rehabilitation
Physiotherapy helps stroke survivors regain movement and function through targeted exercises and therapies.
2. Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
After surgeries like joint replacements or ligament repairs, physiotherapy is crucial for restoring strength and mobility.
3. Sports Injuries
High participation in sports like running, soccer, and badminton often leads to injuries such as sprains, strains, ligament tears, and tendonitis. However, with proper physiotherapy care, individuals can have a smoother recovery and prevent future issues.
4. Lower Back, Neck & Shoulder Pain
Physiotherapy offers effective solutions for lower back, neck, and shoulder pain caused by prolonged sitting and poor posture among office workers. Through manual therapy, targeted exercises, and ergonomic advice, physiotherapists can alleviate discomfort and improve mobility.
Finding The Right Physiotherapist
It’s important to find the right physiotherapist to help you with your specific needs. A good physiotherapist will listen to your concerns, conduct a thorough assessment, and create a personalized treatment plan. They should have the proper qualifications, experience, and a good reputation.
